SafeSiders Pleezer

The Pleezer gives the dentist increased tactile perception apically allowing differentiation between a narrow canal and an impassable blockage. The Pleezer has a .03 mm/mm taper through its 9 mm of cutting length. As the Pleezer goes deeper, the increasing thickness of the cutting portion has more ability to lean on the outside wall of the canal giving it greater potential to straighten the outer wall. The tip of the Pleezer is thinner, therefore, cuts less dentin and is less likely to push debris apically. The Pleezer cuts less at the tip piercing canal debris more easily so the desired depth and coronal straightening process occurs with the application of significantly less apical hand pressure further reducing the chances of fracture. The tip size of the new Pleezer is .75 mm compared to the .90 mm tip size of a No. 2 peeso. The thinner tip size means the cutting head right beyond the non-cutting safety tip will encounter less resistance as it heads apically simply because at the head it is cutting less dentin. A thinner tip also finds the hole it must widen that much easier too.

The Pleezer is part of the Safesiders Introductory Kit and is also available for sale as a refill kit that contains 6 SafeSiders Pleezers.
